for American Cab for a few years until one of their drivers field dressed a hooker. Nobody wanted to get into our cabs after that.

I used to go to Bakers and some other clubs. Detroit had a very good jazz scene.


BTW, I'd leave home for Esperanza.

I could see the Stroh's sign from the roof of my apartment building on Forrest. I lived inYusef Lateef's right eye. (Obscure reference)

Let's say that the trips to the White Castle on Woodward for lunch were always interesting.

Remember that street car diner on Woodward? They had great tongue on a Kaiser roll. Their coffee was good, and they were quick with the refills. I used to go there to sober up before driving home.

Do you remember Cobb's corner and the Boone's Farm Commune?

I remember the Wayne State demonstration protesting the Kent State murders. That was a tense time.
