MSM finally getting serious?

I don't know. Is there a sea change in the MSM?

I think Katie Couric got a boost when she let/helped Palin destroy the McCain/Palin campaign. All Couric had to do was get serious and be herself.

Then I have been seeing MSM truth squad articles debunking the "death panel" stuff. Again Palin inspired. Chris Matthews ripped that one numbskull over the "goddamned gun". Couric has this video on fear and ignorance.

Maybe the MSM has finally discovered it can't be all things to all people. It has to take stands if it wants to be relevant. There hasn't exactly been a lot of job security in play-it-safe journalism. Time to have real personalities and real considered respect for truth in the MSM? The other way didn't work.

Not holding my breath, but maybe taking one.

Hate and lies are losing value as revenue generators.

when those who are paying him start to notice the drop in revenue, he'll get the word. Back in the early nineties he was actually quite interesting and not involved in provoking hate as I recall from hearing him then a few times per year.

3. Bout Time

The MSM needs to stop being subject to the successful campaign from the Far Right to intimidate them with the use of words and phrases like "The Far Left MSM" and "The MSM is in the tank for Obama and Democrats."

Just do the news to the best of your ability while using your conscious, common sense and good judgement.

5. the trouble is when they are part of the entertainment division instead of their own

entity.... they are subject to ratings and profit as opposed to news content these days. I wonder if they were ever any other way.
