What an awesome idea this site was, has been, and is.

There is a major diversity of opinion amongst DU'ers who actually take the time to post their thoughts. Most of the time, there is agreement. Preaching to the choir, as it were. Those times when there aren't, the discussion is allowed to progress to the point where further discussion is no longer productive. I credit TPTB (the cool dudes I alluded to in the subject line) for picking MODS who know the difference.

That said, I would also like to take a moment and bow to the Mods for knowing the difference between discussion and snark for snark's sake.

I know I'm not the most popular poster here by any stretch of the imagination, and I have no problem with that. I have reptilian skin in that respect. This is the only website I visit each and every time I turn on my computer. More so than the best of the porn sites I've been to. Heck, the best of the porn sites hold my attention for two, maybe three minutes at a time (more if I've had a few glasses of Zin), but this place holds my attention for hours on end. It holds my attention to the point that the Ms. tells me she HATES looking at the back of my head (other than the huge bald spot, what's wrong with the back of my head?).

Skinner, EarlG, and Elad... You guys are the bomb. Mods? You guys/gals are firecrackers, albeit firecrackers that have enough oomph to bring down buildings built with the egos of DU members who post here.

I fucking love this place.
