"I think as a country we are on the verge of bankruptcy. I want to stop mega-spending," said Thomas, who is legally blind and is insured through Medicare.

6. Yes, start with stop spending on wars, military bases around the world,
big agriculture subsidies, congressional health care insurance that they won't vote to provide to all Americans, bailouts to wealthy bankers, Wall Street financiers, insurance executives - most of whom are republicans. Save all of those billions and spend a smaller portion of that money on health care for all, education, infrastructure, and investment in green technologies and sustanable jobs.

7. Funny. Obama just reminded people in Bozeman that Medicare is a government program.
Sad that he has to do that.

8. From the article another Repub said:
"This is the first time I have been fired up enough to do something other than vote," she said.

Amazing - two huge wars, poverty, stripping of civil rights, and ths is the thing she chooses to fight - healthcare reform?

9. Does Iraq have universal health care?
If so, one wonders why none of these people are asking why we spent money so Iraqis can have health care but they haven't paid anything back to us for "liberating" them.

14. Israel has great national health care
All these countries in NATO and elsewhere have great healthcare.

I hope Iraq has a healthcare program, because they sure as hell got raped by us.

11. Imagine being blind and blinded.
That's a pretty unpleasant combination.
