Edited on Wed Apr-11-07 02:07 PM by Proud2BAmurkin
The highest height of douchebaggery and cluelessness yet.

"WAR CZAR"

The guy is a fuckin nutbag. I'm convinced he's had a complete break from reality.

WASHINGTON (April 11) - The White House is considering naming a high-powered official to oversee the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and report directly to President Bush and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley.

3. Well, we already have a "war president" who doesn't want to be a war president...
Edited on Wed Apr-11-07 02:07 PM by DRoseDARs
...so I can see him having trouble finding someone to be a war czar. No one wants to be a war czar any more than Bush wants to be a war president. Then again, he gets his rocks of on blowing things up...

37. THAT is the problem with all repervlikins: title & no responsibility
They just want the title, the money, the perks, and no oversight, no accountability for repervlikins.

They want NO money, No access, LOTS of oversight, and TOTAL accountability for Democrats.

They really think they "rule" this country, and that the citizens don't mean shit except as "worker units".

22. I like this statement from Rahm Emanuel
Edited on Wed Apr-11-07 02:21 PM by antonialee839
CHICAGO, IL - Today, U.S. Representative Rahm Emanuel (D-IL) released the following statement in response to reports that the White House cannot find a war czar to oversee war operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"The Washington Post reports that the White House wants to appoint a war czar to run the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but they can't find anyone to do it. Someone needs to tell Steve Hadley that position is filled, it's the Commander in Chief, unless the decider's become the delegator."

23. Rotsa Ruck finding anyone who would be dumb enough to take the job
"But...today's Washington Post story
that the White House is now, in the fifth year of the Iraq war, trying to find a "czar" to knock heads together at State and Defense--long after the Pentagon's disastrous dismissal of the comprehensive post-war plan developed for the disastrous conflict, because the plan was generated by the State Department--proves that there are "leaders" in this country who take even longer to grasp the obvious than does Mr. Nagin.
The money quote from the Post piece:

"The very fundamental issue is, they don't know where the hell they're going," said retired Marine Gen. John J. "Jack" Sheehan, a former top NATO commander who was among those rejecting the job. Sheehan said he believes that Vice President Cheney and his hawkish allies remain more powerful within the administration than pragmatists looking for a way out of Iraq. "So rather than go over there, develop an ulcer and eventually leave, I said, 'No, thanks,' " he said.

Sounds like the grownups are in charge."

38. I'll take the job!
Seriously. I'll take the same pay as the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

I will then withdraw all the troops from
Iraq and Afghanistan. I figure it will take
about 90 days.

The pundits will then all say I lost both
countries. I'll agree. I'll then get a book
deal and a ghost writer, admit that I lost
the war, and make a pile of money.

By the way - I'd also save a lot of lives.
