I left a nasty note on a teabgger's car today.

I was doing some shopping at Trader Joe's this morning, and on my way out to the car, saw another vehicle in the lot with a bumper sticker that read "Tea Bag Patriot" and included weblink info to a local rethug group.

Since I now always carry a pen and legal pad in my car, and since I'm still pissed over what the tea bagholes are doing at town halls, I left this crapsicle a little message.

It read: "Tea Bag Patriot? More like Tea Bag Fucking Whiner. It's 'patriotic' to pay your taxes. How else do you 'support the troops'. You are an asshole."

"PS : Obama won fair and square, your guy lost, Obama's a citizen, so just shut up and accept the consequnces of the *fact* that YOU are now a minority. WE surround YOU."

I stuck that under his windshield wipe where Fuckball couldn't miss it.

Why I remember reading the stories about all the crap that happened to DUers who had Obama lawn signs and/or bumperstickers. If our signs were vandalized or if we saw a McCain-Palin bumpersticker we didn't resort to violence or make racially-motivated false accusations.

In fact I distinctly remember people advising each other about the most effective and legal way to protect their signs.

I hope the driver does take the note to the cops just to know someone of authority will be telling him/her that there's no threat in the letter, there's nothing he/she can do about it and to let it go.

It's about, number one, personal honor. Then there's the real possibility that someone will see you committing an act of vandalism and memorialize it in photo or video on a cell phone.

Also, and here's a thought...maybe the vehicle is owned by an elderly/older person who just bought it...hasn't had a chance to check it for bumper stickers, or just doesn't CARE what those bumper stickers say or doesn't really know what they mean.

Or maybe it's a young couple with little kids. Yeah, maybe the adults "hate us", but what about the kids? They're innocent, but would they have to forfeit a new pair of shoes or something so the parents can get the car repaired (high deductible or no insurance)?

You don't know that person. That "asshole" that you are so sure provides no support for our military beyond their tax dollars could easily be a veteran or a parent of a serviceman.

While I'm sure you imagined an overweight redneck lumbering back to his truck and throwing a hissy fit in the parking lot the reality could have been very different. You may have been telling off someone much more like your own mother than some thug jerk "shouting down" a town hall meeting.

All that you know about this person is that they hold to a political platform that you disagree with and express it with a bumper sticker, which is a completely legitimate and legal way to express yourself in America.
