I left a nasty note on a teabgger's car today.
I was doing some shopping at Trader Joe's this morning, and on my way out to the car, saw another vehicle in the lot with a bumper sticker that read "Tea Bag Patriot" and included weblink info to a local rethug group.

Since I now always carry a pen and legal pad in my car, and since I'm still pissed over what the tea bagholes are doing at town halls, I left this crapsicle a little message.

It read: "Tea Bag Patriot? More like Tea Bag Fucking Whiner. It's 'patriotic' to pay your taxes. How else do you 'support the troops'. You are an asshole."

"PS : Obama won fair and square, your guy lost, Obama's a citizen, so just shut up and accept the consequnces of the *fact* that YOU are now a minority. WE surround YOU."

I stuck that under his windshield wipe where Fuckball couldn't miss it.

I'm still grinning about it, too.

2. I for one, love it
And you were much kinder than some of the thoughts I'd like to share with these "morans".

The other day, I was in traffic behind this idiot that had written "Obama - a clear and present danger" in giant white letters across his back window. I won't even tell you what I felt like doing.

course, if he had a scratch he hadn't noticed before, and there were cameras, that's a different story. then, again, a camera would only show you putting the note there, so you're OK

While I don't think your note will change much (their brains aren't wired for self-reflection) I like what you did. I mock these hominids whenever I can. They should not have the feeling that they can spout their feces any time they want to. It's they who don't want to come to the table and work toward a solution in a civilized manner. Mockery is all they deserve.

You made it clear that as an Obama supporter you resort to insults and name calling (behind people's backs), and you put yourself squarely in the "sore winner" category.

Is the note supposed to make them Obama supporters? Was it supposed to rile them up more because you think they aren't crazy enough yet?

I'm a vet, too - and normally when we apply tactics, it's to achieve a specific goal. What was yours?

The best you can hope for is that they opt out of voting. That comes from disgust with their own politicians, something that is no short supply with the republican party these days.

80. I find myself wondering the same thing when people do stuff like that
like...what was the purpose?

To change the other person's mind?

hardly

In fact, tactics like that can only serve to solidify the opinions of the people we've insulted.

I almost applied it to the trash talking and insults being lobbed against RW nuts here, but decided it's different. We're here. Anyone we insult has to specifically come onto the site to read it. Way different than intentionally going over to someone else's car and leaving a note...but anyway...

If someone were to do that to me, I would just figure the person was a huge dickhead who is too cowardly to wait at my car and have an adult discussion (if the issue is THAT important to him/her)

I wonder, however, if it would have been better if it contained the same info about taxes and the minority status, but without the asshole and fucking teabag whiner. Again, not because they don't deserve the abuse, but because maybe the facts would have stood a better chance getting through if the recipient didn't have the distraction of reacting to the other stuff.

Who gives a FUCK what they think? We've had to bear the burden of all their "thinking" for the past 30 years!

Your note lets them know what many around them are thinking, you just wrote the truth in a note, and sometimes those handwritten things carry a lot more weight.

One good thing about the Dems, we don't have to march in lockstep!

81. Nobody's trying to be a "holier than thou"...
They/we are just wondering what the end purpose is.

If people already know they're not going to change the minds of the stupids, then what is the goal?

They think they're just as right in their opinions as you do.

If someone did that to you, what would your first thought be? Probably something along the lines of "Stupid fucking asshole Teabagger/Freeper!!!" I'll bet....

In fact, it's probably a tactic most of them would take. So stooping to the level of the stupids is apparently OK...

whatever...no skin off my nose...

It's just sort of a good idea to act a little better than your "enemy" does, that's all.

38. Just like the Kenyan birth certificate?
Sure the asshole will show it to his friends and maybe even call the cops. But, the driver will soon learn one of the big differences between a liberal and a GOPer: we don't resort to violence.

Why I remember reading the stories about all the crap that happened to DUers who had Obama lawn signs and/or bumperstickers. If our signs were vandalized or if we saw a McCain-Palin bumpersticker we didn't resort to violence or make racially-motivated false accusations.

In fact I distinctly remember people advising each other about the most effective and legal way to protect their signs.

I hope the driver does take the note to the cops just to know someone of authority will be telling him/her that there's no threat in the letter, there's nothing he/she can do about it and to let it go.

Of course that will only make the moran angrier, but they only get angry about stupid things anyway.

Maybe the lawyer will take it to Orly and try to sue someone?

In fact, a few years ago I managed to have some pretty civil discussions with a couple of die-hard RW types. Many others on the group were being incredibly rude to these people...with no result other than making the RWers dig in their heels even more.

I thought I'd try a different tactic.

You would be surprised, no doubt, to hear that it's actually possible to be on a path to changing someone's opinion by treating that person like a decent human being.

82. It's not about caring about "people who hate us"
It's about, number one, personal honor. Then there's the real possibility that someone will see you committing an act of vandalism and memorialize it in photo or video on a cell phone.

People with nothing better to do with their time and lots of money to spend on fines and stuff might find the whole court thing entertaining.

Also, and here's a thought...maybe the vehicle is owned by an elderly/older person who just bought it...hasn't had a chance to check it for bumper stickers, or just doesn't CARE what those bumper stickers say or doesn't really know what they mean.

Or maybe it's a young couple with little kids. Yeah, maybe the adults "hate us", but what about the kids? They're innocent, but would they have to forfeit a new pair of shoes or something so the parents can get the car repaired (high deductible or no insurance)?

So many possibilities, yet many people can't see through their own hatred

Things are not always what they seem...

50. another way to respond to teabaggers
"how is supporting an australian billionaire's
fox network sponsored event against the president
of the united states an act of american patriotism?
perhaps you need a bumper sticker that reads
'i'm a rupert murdoch mercenary'"

51. How cowardly & juvenile!
The foul language and ending it with a veiled threat was really classy, however.

Please explain how it seems so easy for Dems such as yourself to insult another Dem. But you're
above insulting a RWer?
Huh? I don't get it.

69. You can insult someone by not lowering yourself to their level.
But I'm sure you're not capable of understanding that.

See? No offense, but that's how you do it. You use words in a smart and cutting way without so much as a raised voice or a foul word.

After a bit of practice it becomes second nature.

I like how to them it's fine to pay taxes to bomb other countries, but taxes taxes for universal health care is somehow communist.

65. Sorry, but I consider such conduct obnoxious and to be avoided.
It's about respecting the free speech of others, and knowing where to draw the line in expressing yours.

Your car belongs to you. The other person's car belongs to him. Each of you is entitled to adorn your car with your beliefs. When you leave a note on his car, you're touching his private property to attach your beliefs. That's like going in someone's yard to leave a note because you don't like their yard sign.

I don't approve of such conduct, which doesn't accomplish anything, and wish others here did not.

87. I agree.
I am amazed at some of the DUers here who recommend violating the rights of others, damaging the personal property of others.

Seems like advice you'd find on a freeper board.

You don't know that person. That "asshole" that you are so sure provides no support for our military beyond their tax dollars could easily be a veteran or a parent of a serviceman.

While I'm sure you imagined an overweight redneck lumbering back to his truck and throwing a hissy fit in the parking lot the reality could have been very different. You may have been telling off someone much more like your own mother than some thug jerk "shouting down" a town hall meeting.

All that you know about this person is that they hold to a political platform that you disagree with and express it with a bumper sticker, which is a completely legitimate and legal way to express yourself in America. Well, legitimate may be a bit of a stretch, but that's beyond the point. You seem to be allowing your feelings of self-importance to override your common judgment.

Even if this really was some Limbaughnaut's truck, what exactly do you hope to accomplish with real world flamings? It seems that at best you may have driven one more individual further into paranoia. And considering the fact that this stereotypical visage of a Teabagger is certainly a well-armed citizen it seems that the result would be counterproductive.

Don't act like such a child.
