Oh what BS! The Kenneth Gladney lie;
The right wing blogs are just ecstatic over finally not being the ones responsible for violence... but is it true?

Kenneth Gladney, 38, employed as a St. Louis cop, claims to have been 'attacked' by the SEIU.

The only footage available shows an SEIU member on the ground, then getting up and rubbing his shoulder;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTXBOgPCh9w

The rest of the crowd, the same astroturfers who have been instructed to lie and disrupt, are all in chorus about the SIEU being the aggressors. No evidence except the word of Gladney's attorney, and some email 'eyewitness' accounts exists.

More at KOS;

I call 'Bullshit'.

1. Great SIEU response. The man on the ground is identified at 1:00;

2. I wold love to call BS, but there is no proof either way. Only 2 were arrested, and Gladney was not.
This why I have stressed in other threads, there are two really important things.

1) Get a camera, preferably video
2) Don't be an aggressor even if they hit you, which one will. Just turn them into the cops right next to you, be like Ghandi.

3. Actually, there is more proof that Gladney is lying than not.
For one, the fellow claiming he was 'attacked' seemed rather spry as the Deputy car pulled up.

Meanwhile, there was only one person on the ground and apparently in pain; A Reverend at a local church and member of the SIEU.

There is no proof Gladney was attacked. Saying there's no proof he wasn't would be the classic definition of 'disproving a negative'.

Other than that, I strongly agree; be well-behaved and bring cameras.

16. Gladney is a Cop according to the story. It would be better to have Internal affairs call BS.
If he is engaging in a public fraud. That will directly impact his credibility as a Professional Witness. Not to mention that fraud is a crime. Who paid for the trip to the hospital? His police benefits or Freeper cash? The last heard they were saying he didn't have insurance and were trying to raise money for his hospital bills. If he's a cop he has insurance. More Fraud? If he is a cop and lying. The best way to get to the truth is with a complaint to IAD.

4. BS is right - In the first video Gladney has no injuries at all
He claims that he was punched at least twice in the face and kicked while he was down, by some of the big, beefy SEIU members. No way he would not show at least some marks - and even though he was on the ground, his clothes do not look rumpled or dirty.

5. Just to be honest;
In those situations, adrenalin is a wonderful pain-suppressant. It was also at night, so it's hard to know how his clothes really were.

The fact that there is nothing obviously wrong with him or his clothes does make him seem the liar. We know these people are not there to discuss the truth to begin with, but to be deliberately disruptive... and lie.

So it's easy to believe this is bullshit on the teabagger's part.

8. Having been injured, I know how adrenaline works, but there are further doubts coming out

6. I read about this last night
You may want to see Gladney and his atty being interviewed on Faux News: http://www.dakotavoice.com/2009/08/interview-with-kenne... /

He claims to know nothing about the union, or to know not much about anything. I was suspicious of the older white guy in the video leading Gladney around following the scuffle - looks like the older guy even points out the camera to Gladney, as if to warn him. Video here: http://www.youtube.com/v/zTXBOgPCh9w&color1=0x2b405b&co...

And I'm sure you've read the atty's letter to the St. Louis Teabaggers, claiming this was racial hate crime and mentioning ACORN. :eyes:

The St Louis Tea Party was to meet at SEIU today at noon to protest - wonder what the outcome was?

7. Wow.... thanks for the info.
Good observation too!

It's great to have video around. The bullshitters can't win with video cameras everywhere... even if they're the ones holding them.

I'm trying to transcribe an exchange from the video beginning at :44 sec. The loud asshole accuses the SIEU guy; "You attacked that guy for nothing!"

SIEU Guy; "No we didn't attack him for nothing, he hit (Alvin?)! Alvin's a (damn?) minister." I can't manage to figure the rest out yet. But he says he was trying to 'pull him off' at one point. It sounds like the teabaggers became violent, then claimed they were assaulted when the SIEU defended themselves.

Very typical M/O for these assholes. Push and push until someone pushes back... then play the victim.

10. After replaying the "fight" video
quite a few times, what it looks like to me:

An SEIU member is on the ground with one of the astrofurfers straddling his body and attacking him.

Mr Gladney appears to be trying to also attack the SEIU member on the ground when another SEIU member pulls him away, causing him to fall to the ground for a matter of seconds. (like 2 - 5 secs)

After that Mr Gladney is up and walking around, spouting off, flagging down cops, crying innocent, and even bouncing some.

The SEIU member looks to be the only one who was hurt, or attacked for that matter.

13. And then Gladney shows up at the Tea Party at SEIU Sat. in a wheelchair,
unable to speak due to his injuries and meds, with Faux News claiming he spent the night in the hospital and Rush claiming he spent two nights in the hospital. No matter that he appeared in fine form the day before, on Friday, when he was interviewed on Neil Cavuto.

15. Hilarious!
How obvious, how blatant, how do these people think they're fooling anyone?

Dude was bouncing around after the 'incident', then shows up in a wheelchair. Only idiots fall for crap like that. Sad there are so many idiots.

11. It's their ingrained MO to lie and play
the victim..so it would have to be proven to me that kenneth is telling the truth.

14. I am from Missouri but live in Texas.
I hate St. Louis. I never had any good experiences there. It was always one drama after another. That said it looks to me like Gladney might have been pushed or tripped and fallen down and got right back up. I thought it was reported he was beaten and now riding in a wheelchair. :eyes: I think he protests too muchy.
