Not all bad news. This is a good week for Democrats (comment by Chuck Todd on MSNBC)

  • 2 American Journalists Rescued from North Korea
  • Major ethnic barrier overcome in the Supreme Court
  • Killed the single most threatening Taliban terrorist, some say more menacing than Bin Laden.
  • Improvement in America's job numbers

1. Good for Chuck --
some DUers may be moved to de-underbusify ol' Chuck. If they're honest they will.

3. Add that the stock market is up and seems stable around 9000
which is a tremendous improvement. This helps all those with investments, retirement programs and those of us already retired who have savings put away somewhere. All good for the Democrats.

Also that the Cash for Clunkers program is really working well - dealers are selling cars, banks making loans, all of which is good.

All the GOP has done this week is send a lot of idiots around the country to make the GOP look worse, and vote against the first Hispanic on the Supreme Court, which makes the GOP look worst yet.

4. I just hope it goes up a bit further...
...and breaks the 10,000 barrier, which will have a strong psychological effect on the American people, essentially saying that "Obama's and the Democrats' policies have lifted us out of the mess Bush got us into."

10. I think it will, slowly - a slower, steady improvement over the next year or so
will really indicate solid growth in the economy, at least in my worthless opinion. We must start making stuff again, and having people who can buy it. We seem to be selling lots of high end stuff, but not much else right now.

I see one thing good for Dems, two good for all Americans, and one good for all the world's people.

Not bad.

11. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I trust NO ONE in the MSM to consistently
tell the truth. Yes, Chuck stated the obvious. Good for him. Now we wait for him to wave the other direction to "level the playing field" and sell ads for TV by distorting the truth on something else.
