Somebody 'splain me something please?
Seems a lot of folks are upset about other people getting good out of 'their' money and/or labor.

OK...say I plant a seed...or bake a loaf of bread, or make a big pot of soup.
It's not just me who benefits from that 'seed' when it grows up and produces...or from that loaf of bread or pot of soup.
Sure, it was my effort and $$ that went into it to start the ball rolling, but if more than just me can benefit from it, how is this a problem?

:wtf:

Truly, I do not understand this.

2. What if somebody came and took your produce and bread and soup away from you?
You might have been planning to store them...or sell them...or just eat a really big meal. Your work produced those things, why shouldn't their disposition be your decision?

That's the argument.

9. I'm willing to share it with them...
...why do they NEED to 'take it away'?

OK...social situation as analogy.
I go out doing errands with my friend. Like a fool, I forget to eat beforehand and my blood sugar crashes. Time to stop and re-fuel.
My friend, being smarter than I am, had breakfast so she isn't hungry. I'm the only one who needs to eat at the moment...but I find it extremely uncomfortable to do so.

To make me comfortable, she either must have something or at least swipe a few french fries (just as an example; I don't like freedom french fries) or something off my plate. Then I'll feel better.
Anybody else feel this way?

If I've got, and you don't...doesn't it make SENSE that I share? And yes, the road goes both ways.

Besides...it'd be foolish to take the makings of the bread and soup away from me.
I do a damn good job of putting them together before sharing them. :9

10. Lemme try this another way...
You've read the story of the Ant and the Grasshopper? The extremists view anybody in society who "doesn't pull their own weight"...for ANY reason...as the Grasshopper. A freeloader.

They view legislation that "rewards" Grasshoppers with benefits as a moral wrong.

3. Can you expand?
Do you mean people wanting to sell their loaves of bread or pots of soup or produce? Is that not right to you?

7. correct, figure out WWJD and then expect the RW religious nutz to do something entirely different.
Their facts, truth and reality come neatly packaged in their daily talking point.
