6. Wouldn't constitutionally need J.D. credentials, nor to be a lawyer at all.
Of course, confirmation is an ordeal nowadays, even for lawyers and judges with long track records.

How about Bill Clinton? Then the North Koreans would likely do anything he asked. ;-)

... and Justice Ginsberg is too frail for comfort. She could surprise us, though, and hold on past the next resignation of a man (please, please, please let Scalia hear God's call to spend more time with his family).

Anyhow, there are a lot of highly-qualified women in the pipeline now.
