So should we fight fire with fire and disrupt "listening sessions" with repuke congress critters?
since they are doing it to us. Of course, we probably don't have to organize people to go to there sessions and attack them on health care and other issues like they do to our critters, because many people are fed up. But I'm getting darn mad at seeing these scenes of disrupter's doing the bidding of the the health industry not letting other people with real concerns get to talk. I think we should fight fire with fire frankly and begin to drown them out.

2. Do they have open to all 'town halls'? Seems a lot of them do it by invitation only.
Edited on Tue Aug-04-09 09:37 AM by havocmom
And you PAY for your invitation. Seem to recall several 'town hall' meetings that were by invitation only for a few GOPigs.

edtied to add: but they call DEMs "elitists" Simply do not understand how the vocal (and shit upon by their reps) right wingers miss so much.

3. Of course - we need to crush them
WHat really needs to be done is to video and still photo every person coming to these events, as well as make them give a copy of their driver's license to get in. That way we can deal with the disrupters and their families later.

Their families? You would "deal" with somebody that wasn't even involved?

5. Nope.. here's why..
Edited on Tue Aug-04-09 09:44 AM by SoCalDem
It gives them "cover", just like when Joementum votes with repubes..They get to say it's bipartisan.

We should attend, and the people outside should have placards with the blown-up MEMO that has their disruptors' marching orders. We should seek out media types and suggest to them that this memo is the real story.

By having dems "disrupt" their meeting, it allows them to shrug it all off, and to be able to say.."there are wacky conspiracy nuts on BOTH sides...

It's the new version of democRAT-party..it's done to IRK US, and it's even more irksome (at least to ME) when I see our own people saying "democrat-party".

They are egging us on, to follow suit.

13. I agree
Being what we despise will not defuse them. We are needed at the Democratic town halls to make ourselves heard. We can't let the media report the disruption as the only story.

6. The media will only show the ones where people are yelling at democrats
so, it's best to avoid GOP events where there will be nothing but people agreeing with them.
Put butts in the seats to support democrats.

Toss them out on their collective ears.

9. First, we won this battle. The ranting is taken as such. Better planning by the coordinators would
be great.

If there is a possibility that the same people are being used in a multiple of events, then schedule multiple events at the same time.

Pictures are great! Wingers are very photogenic. All that angry white skin turning red.

14. No, since A) they probably only let in those they know B) there are better ways than being thugs
Follow the GOP pols around with video cameras going and ask embarrassing questions. Getting them on video, fleeing from calm, pertinent questions is a great tool, as has recently been demonstrated. Put the video online, toss links around discussion boards and news sites, then watch the fun.

Do not let them go out in public without having to face CALM, RATIONAL, and courteous grilling, always with the video going. Call them on crap, NICELY and on film. Publish film of them running away.

20. Don't disrupt. Inflame.
Bring like 10 friends with you and when the crowd starts to get riled up start cheering "white power, white power" or something like that. Odds are that a lot of them will start cheering along with you.
