Question
Why let do they let people from outside the district into these town hall events?

1. Exactly.
I just posted the following in another thread:

Keith mentioned this tonight and the guy he was talking to brushed it off, but I think it could be a solution.

(1) Announce widely in advance that town hall meetings are open only to constituents of the district and that ID with address will be checked at the door. This is a perfectly reasonable restriction to place on attendees because it is for constituents that these town halls are being held.

(2) Follow through and check ID with proof of address at the door.

(3) Turn away anyone who doesn't live in the district and have security to enforce it.

This should pretty effectively eliminate the bulk of bussed-in distruptors, and make the town halls more productive and enjoyable for the people they're intended for: residents of the district.

Oh, and one more:

(4) Let the RW scream and moan, and laugh at them.

3. Absolutely.
It seems like such a simple way to bring the distruptors to a screeching halt, I'm really surprised no one is doing it yet. Let's hope the idea occurs to Dems soon.

4. I hope that
police arrest those who are coming in to disrupt meetings, and charge them with disorderlu conduct. Do it twice on a large scale, and the problem will be solved.
