The money spent on outfitting the people with shirts and signs, and the wrapping of the entire bus in graphics, four sides, would keep me in the chips for a long time (that's the sort of stuff I do)

The people were gathering, some quite beligerent towards us who stood with our protest signs protesting theirs across the road in a large local mall. We often called them over and asked them to talk to us.

Only one did, and she was interested to communicate. She listens to Rush to Glenn and watches Faux News. I sent her off to give AirAmericaRadio a try.

The propaganda and utterly false information given and the Obama hatred in the crowd was hard to take.
I had infiltrated them, leaving my signs behind, and my camera looks big.
But I could not make it close enough to catch a photo of Virginia herself for her approx. 3 min speech before she got back on the bus where it was cool.

We did what we could today. I have a letter about her comments on "old people left to die" coming in the paper.
We know she is ours and we I hope know what to do in 2010.

Now I have to look up what it says in Matthew 25:40, since it supports our cause.

Just so you know who Virginia Foxx is, I'm posting her photo.
She looked this way even before she was kissed by George W Bush.

1. I understand from people in her district
that the only thing that's kept her in office is her vicious campaign style, one that makes any sane person loath to run against her.

Her gotch eye and facial droop make me think she's prone to stroke. Alas, that's what I think it will probably take to get this harpy out of office.

Until then, she'll be the Jesse Helms of the House.

She really is evil, incarnate. And the fundies love her.

campaign contributions these cretins get from the health destroying industry--the insurers, big pharma, et .

We have ours so you little people won't get any!

Looks like they are well-funded and well-organized. Our side needs to get a move on.

Thanks for being there and sharing.

8. Believe me you don't really want to know, but while you are
going to look anyway, just google her comments on Health Care. It will make your hair stand up. Mine did when I saw the bus and the expense of it. Literally, in the hot sun, the hairs stood up on my arms.

Can't you just imagine him delivering that line?

"She looked this way even before she was kissed by George W Bush."

33. Hi Kaleko, fancy meeting you here. Glad you got a laugh.
She is as they say here "A Caution".
Jon Stewart might find her yet,if she keeps talking. But the 3 min speech was probably because she was afraid to make national news with fear mongering rubbish talk two weeks in a row.

13. Matthew 25: 31-40
This is why one of my signature is:

Aid the poor....heal the sick...love thy neighbor
... traditional Christian values. -me

Which stems from Matthew 25:31-40 which is as follows:

31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

He did not win his bid for congress.
I was walking through the crowd with just my camera and he saw me. I slapped him on the back and said:
"time to go back to my side..bye Vernon" and took off.

21. Great job Mira! This is part of the strategy in the Town Hall Disruptors
I guess the question should be are THEY even from Crazy Like a Foxx's district or are they BUSSED in. I wonder if the blood on the t-shirts is representative of the bloody battle the industry has for us less fortunate uninsured people. The irony is the blood will be on their hands.

The memo above also resembles the talking points being distributed by FreedomWorks for pushing an anti-health reform assault all summer. Patients United, a front group maintained by Americans for Prosperity, is currently busing people all over the country for more protests against Democratic members. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), chairman of the NRCC, has endorsed the strategy, telling the Politico the days of civil town halls are now “over.”

Meanwhile, AHIP, the trade group and lobbying juggernaut representing the health insurance industry is sending staffers to monitor town halls and other right-wing front groups are stepping up their ad campaign to smear reform efforts. The strategy for defeating reform — recently outlined by an influential lobbyist to the Hill newspaper as “delay” then “kill” — is becoming apparent. By delaying a vote until after the August recess, lobbyists are now seizing upon recess town halls as opportunities to ambush lawmakers and fool them into believing there is wide opposition to reform.

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/31/recess-harassment-memo/#comments

Maybe they are only being bussed in to the Democratic Districts, but who can tell anymore. I suppose I could do the same thing and disrupt my Rep's Town Hall meeting, that is she is even having one. I'll have to check into it.

Once again thank you for showing up and trying to have an honest debate :applause: However, they don't want an honest debate. Demockracy in action!

25. The remedy for deluded free speech
Is informed free speech. Nicely done.

I'm sure some of the people holding the "Hands off" signs are indignant about any proposed government interference with their Medicare and Medicaid. I'm often suspicious of "grass roots" movements with snappy, uniform graphics and the ability to produce signs, t-shirts and whole buses on very short notice. As you noted, that stuff ain't cheap. Who might have that kind of money on hand to dick around with the system and disseminate such misinformation?
