Entry level electric vehicle. Priced at <$30,000 (there is a $7,500 tax credit on EV).
100 mile range should be out in late 2010.

Hell if there is a cash for clunkers in 2010 $30,000 - $7,500 - $4,500 = $18,000 for an electric vehicle :).

4. I love the car but
those of us that live in Western NE,SD,ND,WY,and Montana need something that goes more than 100 miles before needing a charge. I am sure it will come and I can't wait.

5. One very cool thing is how cheap electricity is compared to gas.
Here is my back of napkin calculations.

We know the car has a 100 mile range and 24kWh battery pack.

So 0.24kWh per mile.

In VA electricity is about $0.11 per kWh w/ all taxes so that is about $0.0264 per mile. About 2 and a half cents a mile.

12,000 miles per year = $316 in "fuel" or $26 per month.
