Yesterday's lightning is today's fires (PICS).

I've lost count of the fires today, just like I lost count of the lightning strikes last night. While it is a wonder there aren't any
more wildfires than there are, what we have is still a handful. The lightning has already started up again today over toward the Cascades.

This wildfire is the biggest we have today. It was a small spot fire when we located it this morning. This fire is 25 miles southeast of my location.


I reported this fire on the backside of Little Garden Butte (in the Devil's Garden area) about an hour ago. This one is about 10 miles to my southeast.


I provided a cross azimuth to pinpoint this fire 26 miles to my southwest. Notice the spot fire out ahead of the main fire.


Hard to see smoke billows from behind the top of Pine Mountain. Another lookout and I teamed up with cross azimuths to provide an exact position of this fire. It was actually a medium-size fire (10 acres) on West Butte 12 miles behind Pine Mountain.

13. I don't understand why the pics are not showing.

I have logged out and back in several times, and all the pics load for me every time. I checked my DU Journal and all the pics are showing there too.

:shrug:

On edit: I think DU's server has a glitch right now. I have logged out and back in and clicked on the thread again. It loaded extremely slow and it only loaded the first two pics.

15. right click and open in a new tab or new window worked for me. The first

worked, the rest didn't.

17. Once I visited the photos individually

I can see them in the thread, which means they are in my cache. Maybe it's a google anti-bandwidth consumption measure?
