Mass. mother charged with locking son in hot attic

LOWELL, Mass. - A Massachusetts woman is due in court after being accused of locking her 3-year-old son inside a sweltering attic, where police say temperatures were above 100 degrees.

Prosecutors say 27-year-old Kristen Paquette will be arraigned Friday on charges of reckless endangerment to a child under 18 and assault and battery on a child.

Lowell Police say the child was naked and covered in feces when they arrived Thursday after an anonymous tip.

Investigators say Paquette had forced the boy into the attic, and that it was not an isolated incident.

Two other children, ages 6 and 9, were removed from the home and placed in state custody, as was a third child who wasn't home.

Police say the apartment was in deplorable condition.

2. how sad!! I will admit that i feel overwhelmed at times and the kids drive me SOOO crazy!!

they are doing that right now, as a matter of fact.... but I wouldn't consider doing something like that!! Instead my ten year old gets to do the dishes, and they get no tv for the rest of the day. I swear they must think if they annoy me enough with their fighting and screeching i will give in and let them watch tv. It doesn't work that way. Someday maybe they'll figure that out.
