Who Killed the electric car?
Just watched this on DVD. I guess since I'm on the East Coast I never heard of the EV-1. They actually built this car and it worked. Really worked. Haven't I seen a clip of bush saying, "Someday you'll be able to plug your car in your garage and drive away." or something like that. Someday was here 10 years ago!

2. It was here 100 years ago...and there were many of them.
Read Internal Combustion by Edwin Black. Saw him on BookTV a couple of weeks ago...amazing stuff.

4. Saw it today also--Bottom line is GM wants people to think luxury and ...
muscle when buying cars--not low fuel and maintenance costs. Although it kills Michigan, the big three deserve to go out of business.

They were really kind of hard & expensive to get I think, you had to make arrangements through GM.

6. auto companies are the ENEMIES of the nation - protecting profits of incompete
management instead of going for the future.

the first outfit to successfully start selling cars similar to the EV-1 will own the future.

remember what you don't have to buy with an electric car: oil filters, changes, oil, transmissions and fluid, air filters, all those tuneups and spark plugs etc. this loss kills the car companies and the people who service all these items.

well, they are living with 1890's technology and sorry to say, dragging us down when we should dump all that stuff and move on.
