And yet ANOTHER Repub sex scandal.
What is it with these "Family Values" types? Why can't they keep it holstered?

http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/story.asp?S=10805531

State Sen. Paul Stanley says he will resign from the Tennessee General Assembly after his affair with a 22-year-old legislative intern was revealed by an alleged extortion plot.

In his resignation letter, the Germantown Republican says: "Due to recent events, I have decided to focus my full attention on my family and resign my Senate seat effective August 10."

After the extortion case first came to light, Stanley first hinted that there might not have been a sexual relationship

But court records, uncovered by NewsChannel 5, show the 47-year-old Stanley told agents investigating a blackmail case that he had a sexual relationship with intern McKensie Morrison.

4. Uh...Senator...weren't you supposed to be focusing on your own
family all along? Instead of, ya know, worrying about how to make other families miserable?

I love this quote:
"Whatever I stood for and advocated, I still believe to be true," he said during an interview Tuesday with Memphis radio station WREC-AM. "And just because I fell far short of what God's standard was for me and my wife, doesn't mean that that standard is reduced in the least bit."
