Poll question: If Palin ducked out of the public until mid-2011 and came back well-versed in issues...
Would you reevaluate her intellectual depth?

1. Ahhh, depth--the dfference between bidbath depth and kiddie pool depth!
Would it matter, really? Being the smartest dumb person in the room won't get her off the "moron" (or should I use the alternate spelling?) rolls!

2. She does not have the ability to "come back well versed in
issues". She doesn't have the intellectual curiosity, nor the educational foundation to understand issues. There is no way to cram a lifetime of learning into two years.

I've seen all I need to see of her intellectual depth and it's pretty shallow. In fact, the puddle on my front porch is deeper than her intellectual depth.

3. She could start today with "Department of Law For Dummies"
and read every newspaper instead of watching TV.

4. "teaching to the test"
does not qualify one as "well-versed" in a subject. Palin is an intellectual featherweight.

5. Um -uh - well, er hmmmmm....
no. That woman is an idiot. She has amply demonstrated that fact. It is a fact. It is not that she is just ignorant. She is DUMB. STUPID.

But why do you ask?

6. The GOP's version of being "well versed" is faithfully memorizing Frank Luntz's talking points
It doesn't take much brain power to do that

8. She'd be out of her depth in a parking lot puddle.
I got a better chance of winning the Lotto than her becoming well-versed in anything besides stupid.

11. Personally, i think palin needs to fire whoever gave her the brilliant idea to quit as governor.
If she were smart, she would have gone back to Alaska after the election and kept her head down. She would have been the best governor alaska had ever seen (or something like that) keeping out of the public eye and quiet. She would have taken a few classes on geography and world events and get a damned clue. Then she would probably have been able to resurface and try to rebuild her image. People do forget... and she may have had a chance. But leaving her job and going out on the road and trying to stay in the spotlight is not going to serve her well, i don't think. maybe i am wrong, but I just don't see how she gets to the presidency from the route she is taking.

14. She has all the depth of a game show spokesmodel.
Apologies to spokesmodels. They generally know their own capabilities.

It took her, what? 5 different colleges before she found one shallow enough for her to wad through it's academic requirements to get a "degree" and become a local sportscaster.

Like Ron White said: "You can't fix stupid." Her lack of intellectual curiosity is one of the qualities that make her look like Bush in a dress. It doesn't out-weigh her supposed ornamental value.

That- and a moral compass - might enable her to become "well-versed in the issues".

17. Do not confuse the ability to recite memes and answers to canned
questions with "intellect". She has had 40-some years to demonstrate that she has an intellect and so far she gets an EPIC FAIL on that count. She's irredeemable.

It would all be an illusion, and would the agenda-setting media give her a pass as they did GWB*?

20. You have no option for:
"Fuck that noise, dude. I want her to tweet her 'own mind' to infamy and beyond. I want her to expose the very heart and soul of 'Esther' because she has an unfortunate tendancy to get all 'mavericky' and go offscript, much to the chagrin of her handlers.
Let her talk and let us pay attention, because she bears the seeds of GOP doom. They're damned if she stays and truly fucked if she secedes."

I vote for that one.
