But isn't the point of the two options, this:

RECOMMEND: You think the OP is a good, interesting read that's worth others having a look, regardless of whether you agree with the OP or not.

UNRECOMMEND: You think the OP is not a good, interesting read that's not worth others having a look, regardless of whether you agree with the OP or not.

The reason I bring this up is there are many threads that are about despicable things Republicans say about Democrats, or about outrageous legislation, or crappy things said about Obama .. but yet I want to read.

I think people are getting confused that by recommending these kind of OP's, they're some how endorsing the content, and by unrecommending them, they're expressing their outrage about the content, and thus supporting Democrats.

I don't know if any of this makes sense.

But I think we're supposed to recommend threads that are interesting .. key word: interesting .. even if it's a negative material about Democrats .. in order that we notice and read.

I want to read negative stuff about Democrats so I know what the enemy is saying. Unrecommending it doesn't help me pick it out as I scan a page.

Then again. Maybe I know nothing. LOL
