If congress doesn't keep his deadline for August on major Health Care legistlation I wish the president would make it clear that he will call congress into special session to deal with health care over there August recess (read vacation).
This would certainly be a bombshell and might force the congress to get with it and stop dragging its legs.
side note: In his acceptance speech at the Democratic convention in 1948, Harry Truman called the GOP congress back into special session on "Turnip Day" (a holiday in MO, apparently?) and dared the GOP congress to pass what they were calling for in the republican platform that year--including a hike in the minimum wage and expansion of social security benefits. The GOP congress came back and, of course, passed nothing. Truman later said, "I knew they wouldn't. Even if they had passed one of the items they were calling for in the platform it would have put me in a jam--but they just weren't smart enough to do it."
