His opening line for the article was a slant ...

Opening Line: WASHINGTON — As President Obama began a new push to overhaul the health system, Democratic Congressional leaders, bowing to unease among lawmakers and governors in their own party on Monday, suggested scaling back a plan to tax top earners to pay for the sweeping legislation and signaled a retreat from their ambitious timetable.


This made me suspicious


He seems to be covering the health care for the paper ..

4. He's been at the Times his whole career
Used to cover NY area/CT. Covered the Skakel trial, if I remember correctly. I don't doubt that he has the usual neoliberal establishment bias, but I don't see him as some hardcore conservative like some Times reporters. On the way up. The guy is not yet in his 40's and he's covering national health politics for the Times. Not bad.
