I saw my first "Impeach Obama" bumpersticker today..............
Unfortunately it came while I was out for my walk so I really didn't have the time nor the desire to interrogate this person. I figured them for a birther, as I was at a loss as to any high crimes or misdemeanors he has committed, especially only after 6 mos. I totally expected this maneuver, but not so soon.

2. We were suggesting Bush be impeached even before he took the oath of office.
Same shit, different day.

Not so for Obama. I guess unless you're a birther that is.

6. Well, yeah, but there's this issue of Gore conceding. Complicates everything.

11. Gore withdrew his initial concession and contested the certified results...
Edited on Mon Jul-20-09 12:07 PM by CrownPrinceBandar
But the US Supreme Court eventually put the nail in the coffin by stopping the recounts. Then Gore finally conceded for good.

7. You beat me to it, but...........
in 2000, the election was hinky, no question about it. However, that was a problem with the election and I don't believe impeachment would have been the proper avenue of recourse. After 2004, however, I believe the calls were justified on the basis of an illegal war, deceiving the US people and Congress as well as the outing of Valerie Plame.

As I see it, the current crowd of impeachment folks got nothing legal. They're just frothing at the mouth, as they are wont to do.

16. In fairness Bush did state his desire to commit mass murder in 1999
"One of the keys to being seen as a great leader is to be seen as a commander-in-chief. My father had all this political capital built up when he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait and he wasted it. If I have a chance to invade---if I had that much capital, I'm not going to waste it. I'm going to get everything passed that I want to get passed and I'm going to have a successful presidency."

17. That's a declaration of desire for mass murder?
See this is just it: we see ourselves as being so rational, but ten years down the line, we're still saying things that a lot of rational people would view as borderline insanity.

21. Besides stealing an election
Bush committed crimes within his first year. It was called the Patriot Act.

8. I've seen one.
Bluehair driving an newer SUV with Jebus stickers on it.

DoD contractorland in Virginia outside the beltway. I still can't figure out what grounds they are talking about...or maybe they weren't fucking paying attention to what the "impeach Bush" thing was all about and they're just parroting.

I've seen the "Obama's last day" shit. I so want to see their faces when he is reelected.

Fricking losers. Are you sure "impeach" isn't a code word for something else?

Bush, hell yea. That bastard wasn't even qualified to shovel cow shit at a dairy farm. He cheated his way ass into office then quickly became the worse president EVER.
