“I’m afraid the present government would never relinquish it’s power by peaceful means.”

Well then, we’ll just have to “bring it”.

Maybe a 5-million gun-owner March on DC would be in order if things get bad enough., I wonder if the media would ignore it?
Maybe a 5-million armed gun-owner march on DC would be in order if things get bad enough RIGHT NOW.

There, fixed it.

Not my first choice, but she is Secretary of State. No time to organize a presidential election and we must have a civilian commander-in-chief in place at all times starting the moment the treasonous B. Hussein Obama, Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are removed from office.

NOTE TO LURKERS: THE FOLLOWING IS SPECULATION ONLY, AND SPECULATION BASED ON AN UNLIKELY SCENARIO. I AM NOT AN ADVOCATE OF VIOLENCE, MUCH LESS VIOLENT OVERTHROW OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. DON’T YOU DARE PAINT ME AS SUCH BY HALF-ASS “QUOTING” THIS POST.

Outlaw Woman, the bottom line is that not every Freeper, much less every concerned American, is going to be able to make it there. So, no matter how many conservatives show up in DC, if the robber barons pull a Tienanmen Square, there will be tens of millions of gun owners outside DC who will know what happened.

There are 80 million gun owners in America. Let’s say that even after American Tienanmen only 25% of those people stood up to fight for their rights. That would be 20 million armed people. If the entire military and all law enforcement decided to side against the citizenry and Constitution (fat chance) they’d still be outnumbered 10 to one.

Fear is the only way they can keep us in line. If we are intrepid, we cannot lose.

Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence;

Sigh. I guess it’s time. I don’t know if I changed or Free Republic changed, although I suspect the latter. Either way, I’m not on board for any of this. I don’t want any part of rebellion, even speculatively.
This country was started with a rebellion against "duely constituted authority". Thomas Jefferson expected a little rebellion now and again, to keep the politicians "honest" as it were.

The man wrote the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson also wrote:

God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.
...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

3. they make these comments because they are convinced that
Only Conservatives have guns, and with the notion that liberals cannot, or will not, fight.

And that is the question...will liberals just cave in when the right wing brings their guns to town?

7. Scary is what terrorism is all about.
It is winning through intimidation.
And i could be true that if push comes to shove they are cowards...at least the ones that encourage others to do what they are afraid to do themselves...we all know that the right wing are infested with them in positions of leadership, Rush being the obvious example.

6. These people are the very definition..
... of "bloody wankers".

Treason? Where were they when the shrub was wiping his ass with the constitution?

The level of idiocy, coupled with delusions of grandeur and dreams of sexual adequacy are stunning.

Then there's this pitiful line of "reasoning":

"There are 80 million gun owners in America. Let’s say that even after American Tienanmen only 25% of those people stood up to fight for their rights. That would be 20 million armed people. If the entire military and all law enforcement decided to side against the citizenry and Constitution (fat chance) they’d still be outnumbered 10 to one."

Yes, yes. Congregate in one place for several days.

It's easier to wipe them out all at once in one place than one at a time.

So when the government comes with tanks and armored vehicles, these yahoos will pull out their 1911's and assault rifle wannabes.
