In video, organization behind C Street House details plan for control of seven key sectors of society.

Most recently covered by MSNBC's Rachel Maddow (1, 2), Washington D.C.'s "C Street House" has over the past two weeks become the center of a media firestorm. Along with GOP Senator Tom Coburn, sex-scandal embroiled GOP leaders Senator John Ensign and South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford have been tied to the row house, assessed to be worth 1.84 million dollars, which is registered as a church and provides Washington politicians with substantially lower than market rate rent. Coburn and Ensign have lived at the C Street house, while Sanford has participated in its Bible study group.

C Street group tied to Ensign is linked to yet another secretive group
http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/07/11/c-street-group-tied-to-ensign-is-linked-to-yet-another-secretive-group/
By Muriel Kane Published: July 11, 2009

The powerful and secretive group known as the Fellowship Foundation or the “Family” is quickly gaining notoriety, due to its links to two scandal-plagued Republicans, Senator John Ensign of Nevada and Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina.

According to the Washington Post, however, the Fellowship Foundation is itself linked to an even more secretive religious organization — Youth With a Mission (YWAM), whose Washington, DC branch owns the “C Street House” where Ensign has lived and where Sanford has participated in Bible study.

A diarist at Daily Kos points out that “YWAM founder leader Loren Cunningham has publicly outlined a vision for Christian world-control,” which involves establishing domination over government, education, business, the media, and other areas.

The last time YWAM came to notice was in 2006, when Loren Cunningham’s son, David Cunningham, gained attention as the director of ABC’s bitterly anti-Clinton “docudrama,” The Path to 9/11. According to Talking Points Memo, the younger Cunningham’s ties to YWAM were discovered by Digby and discussed at length on both Daily Kos and Democratic Underground.

Cunningham was found to be particularly involved in a YWAM offshoot known as The Film Institute, whose goal is to place its graduates “within the film industry, not to give them jobs, but so that they can begin to impact and transform Hollywood from the inside out.”

Dave Neiwert, a dedicated student of extremist groups, brought together a variety of items relating to YWAM’s aims for worldly domination, commenting that what he found especially interesting was “the way these supposedly forthright Christians are now busy covering the tracks connecting them to The Path to 9/11. All this snooping is obviously making them nervous.”

YWAM has also been accused of having cult-like tendencies, which were detailed at length in an article published in 1990 that described both the brainwashing-like techniques employed in its Discipleship Training Schools and its financial exploitation of its recruits.

In 2006, a poster at a Catholic message board noted with alarm that YWAM appeared to be attempting to infiltrate Catholic Churches in Europe and Africa by setting up Discipleship Training Schools.

“YWAM Has been under investigation as a possible cult,” the poster wrote. “Several complaints have been filed with the San Francisco City Hall Mayor’s Office regarding YWAM ‘missionaries’ harassment of homeless Catholics and Gays. On several occasions homeless Catholics were not allowed to pray their rosaries at the YWAM mission because YWAMers believe that the rosary is idol worship. One YWAMer even threatened to throw a homeless man’s rosary into the garbage simply because she saw it lying on the couch. On another occasion a homeless man who happened to be Gay was told by several YWAMers that he should ‘come to Jesus because Jesus will make you straight’. They continued to do this even after he repeatedly stated that he did not want to be made straight.”

That depends
If you are expecting some kind of overt uniformed takeover I would say you will be disappointed. But these guys are influencers and they have had effect on the world stage as though they actually did rule a good part of it.

But yeah, hopefully the light of scrutiny will causes these toxic fungi to whither and die.

Palin's Movement Urges 'Godly' To 'Plunder' Wealth of 'Godless'
http://www.talk2action.org/story/2008/11/1/14522/8804

Prior to the ceremony, Muthee made a short speech in which he exhorted his listeners to carry out a holistic program, for the implementation of a Christian theocracy, that is being developed and promoted by leaders in C. Peter Wagner's organization, under the brand name "Seven Mountains". In his speech Muthee called for "God's Kingdom" to "infiltrate" key sectors of society such as business and finance, schools and education, media and entertainment, and politics and government.

The Seven Mountains program is an extension of ideas popularized in the "Transformations" series of instructional videos, on "spiritual warfare", "spiritual mapping" and "prayer warfare" that have, according to some estimates, been viewed by two hundred million people around the world, in seventy different countries.

The first video in the "Transformations" series came out in 1999 and only a year later, although most Americans were (and still are) unaware of the video series' existence, Sarah Palin in 2000, then Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, borrowed a Transformations video from her former Wasilla Assembly of God pastor, as noted in an October 25, 2008 story by AP reporter Garance Burke.

The message of the video borrowed (and presumably watched) by Wasilla mayor Palin was this:

Society can be transformed by mapping strongholds of demons, witches and "spirits of witchcraft", and through driving those out through "spiritual warfare". The result will be the almost complete cessation of crime and addiction, almost 100% Christian church membership, the growth of farm vegetables to enormous size, and a miraculous reversal of environmental degradation.

14. Good grief! Why are we fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan?
It looks like we have enough enemies on our own ground.

Not much heard about the Rapture, lately. I have heard whispers of the Revolution, and thought Palin might be leading her forces for that, and that is why she won't be more clear on her next move.

I think we have some serious problems with these people. These aren't the live and let live Methodists or Presbyterians...whichever religion that might cross your mind. These are some sick people.

Thanks for the info. I must read up on this.

16. these work through existing power structures instead of blowing things to bits and just taking over
so while we are spared an internal war for which I am very thankful instead we have these sthealthy groups working to influence everything from school boards on up politically, steeplejacking moderate churches where radicals move in and take over, and media that won't question anything like this because if it has the word Christian it can't be bad can it? There is lost more there on talk2action some of which by dogemperor who is an escapee from a rightwing 'christian' religious cult which is why s/he doesn't use her/his real name.

18. Sorry, I should have put "tongue in cheek" on the fighting bit.
I understand what you are referring to.

Could these groups be connected to those which have infiltrated the military and the universities (particularly, the university which produced so many of the lawyers that worked in the Bush DOJ...can't recall the name)?

Scary, guns or not.

19. Hi I figured you meant nonviolence resistance over here
never assumed you advocated even jokingly violint resistance over here.

Can't remember just now (sorry slow brain day) if this particular movement is directly involved with the many groups infiltration of the military but do know talk2action site has been posting aritcles on it for years now. So many of these groups have frontgroup after front group it takes someone with a better memory than I have to keep track of 'em all!

17. Here's Jeremy Scahill on Prince being a Christian Supremacist...

http://ispy.newsvine.com/_news/2007/10/22/1041046-blackwater-erik-prince-christian-supremacist-agenda

JEREMY SCAHILL:Well, I mean, I believe that Erik Prince is an ideological foot soldier. And I do believe that he's a Christian supremacist. And I think it's very easy to explain that. I mean, look, this is the guy who gave a half a million dollars to Chuck Colson, the first person to go to jail for Watergate who's now becoming a very prominent evangelical minister and an advisor to President Bush, one of the people behind the safe face initiatives.
