| EXCLUSIVE: PALIN RESIGNS AS 'DAMAGE CONTROL' DUE TO COMING 'ICEBERG SCANDAL' |
 |
Source: BRAD BLOGEXCLUSIVE: PALIN RESIGNS AS 'DAMAGE CONTROL' DUE TO 'ICEBERG SCANDAL', SAYS SOURCEUPDATE: Alaskan reporter Shannyn Moore offers The BRAD BLOG hints about reason for resignation... UPDATE: Alaskan Sarah Palin authority (and occasional BRAD BLOG guest blogger) Shannyn Moore, who originally broke the news at HuffPo today, tells me she believes, with good reason, that there is an "iceberg scandal that's about to break. She's doing damage control." She says Palin is "resigning as part of damage control" due to a scandal this is "not of a family nature." "The governor would not be able to continue her job when it comes out," she told me on the phone just now, before adding: "Why would Mark Sanford not resign, but Sarah Palin did? Her family didn't even know about the resignation until they were standing with her by the lake" when she made her announcement... They sank the Titanic, they're the reason we don't have a northwest passage, and now they brought down Palin.
It should be clear now that icebergs are the mortal enemy of mankind.

demeanor. She was panicked and frightened. Todd looked like death warmed over. No one commented on it. A possible hint as to what it might be: long time rumor put here first (I am guessing) Quid pro quo: Sarah Palin gave the contract for the skating arena in Wasilla to Spenard Builder Supply (SBS) and a couple of others if they would build her a house for free. That rumor has been around forever. I would bet it would be in the middle of what is coming. She was scared to death yesterday. Count on this being awful.

I'd bet it has to do with Oil/Mineral Company favors/contracts/Payoff$$ and rather "mundane" stuff like that.
I have always perceived her as a garden-variety crook-type in a Gov's mansion. Let's see if my hunch bears out.

Actually, my first guess was that she's ditching the governor gig to pocket millions in lucrative speaking fees. There's a lot of dumbass right-wingers who'd love to part with their money for the "privilege" of sitting through one of her diatribes, thereby enabling her to get very rich.

I first thought the same thing, she's been offered a lucrative speaking gig. But she has been campaigning since she lost the elections for McInsane. Her job never stopped her from talking and talking and talking before. No, like Arnold Govenator, she would take both jobs. She likes money and attention way too much to go quietly unless someone was forcing her.

If Shannyn Moore, a reporter, gave this "tip" to Brad, then it isn't a Bradblog "exclusive". Words mean things and Brad should know better.
Also, I think that this "exclusive" is pretty weak. Simply speculating that Palin resigned because of a scandal that is not "family related" is a GUESS that the vast majority of poltical junkies probably suspected when they heard it.
I have a source telling me that the Palin is resigning due to some forthcoming scandal that isn't related to my dog Loki! See how easy that is!

FURTHER UPDATE: Okay, I've now been able to get independent information from multiple sources that all of this precedes what are said to be possible federal indictments against Palin, concerning an embezzlement scandal related to the building of Palin's house and the Wasilla Sports Complex built during her tenure as Mayor. Both structures, it is said, feature the "same windows, same wood, same products." Federal investigators have been looking into this for some time, and indictments could be imminent, according to the Alaska sources.
The BRAD BLOG has not been able to receive confirm from any federal sources on this. Our information comes from local Alaskans who follow Palin, and who have been keeping an eye on this for some time, while keeping it quiet at the request of federal investigators.

Put it this way: if their name brands (Bewsh I, Bewsh II, Reagan) sucked so astoundingly, how are the generics and second-tiers going to be any better? The problem is that this party has far too many whack-a-ding-a-lings who live in the Dark Ages and have Darwinist gut-and-gamble economic policies that have ruined this country. They need more Eisenhowers or Goldwaters and they plain and simple have too thin a field of those kinds.
That, and it's not like Republican or even Moderate governance/rule has had such a glowing record of success for 40 years and some change . . .

be about her and the husband's involvement with a strange political party. This is not the Republican party. They are still busy courting the fringe constituency which bites the heads off snakes at tent revivals. I think Palin is involved with the Independent Party in Alaska which advocates that Alaska should secede from the U.S. She seemed to get pretty agitated when it was being discussed in the media outlets. I think the legality of secession was decided by the Civil War and advocating it now is considered to be close to treason.
I wonder if there is more to their involvement than simple words or if something really ugly is lurking around the corner that they are trying to hide by having her leave office?
An affair for Sarah? I doubt it. Photographic evidence shows that she is into dead animals for fun. She gets bored, she goes and kills a moose and posts the pictures on the internet herself. Lord knows what her husband does for fun. I don't even want to go there.
I really, really hope that she resigns and goes away. Far away. Her fifteen minutes were up long ago. She needs to take her drama loving self to a secluded place, sit down and be quiet.

Several times, she returned to the theme of, "the state being forced to spend millions and millions of dollars" on damage control for Sarah Palin, or "wasting millions of state dollars" because Sarah Palin was distracted from her duties by scurrilous attacks from evil reporters. The repeatedly said the word "millions" with an enormous dose of phony sincerity.
I think she gave away the essence of the coming scandal there. Ms. Palin has stolen a lot of state dollars, in one way or another, and she knows those evil reporters are about to find out.

The only money spent was on the Hollis French investigation regarding her misuse of authority regarding her ex brother in law. The investigation was found to have merit. I guess she thinks we shouldn't have open and honest government and fuckwits like her should be allowed to misuse authority with impunity.
All the other official inquiries were dismissed by the ethics board that she appointed (big surprise there).
I have a feeling her house of cards is coming down fast.

This is the story that I believed back then when it was first mentioned that would eventually take her down. It's the house in Wasilla.
There are contractors, expenditures, building materials that did not miraculously appear on their lot. You can hide some money in a freezer maybe, but you can't build a home without a gigantic paper trail.
She's toast.
I believe this story.

| 122. It's hard to believe a grifter like Palin would give up the governor's job willingly. |

A position in which she could steal millions.

http://dnr.alaska.gov/ssd/recoff/sag/NameDocs.cfm?Selec... Anybody know what any of this stuff means? Looks like they have a lot of Mortgages and then Reconveyances soon after. Maybe there's something there. Sorry. I'm just so giddy to watch her suffer with this scandal. I'm so happy about it that I do kind of feel bad but I'll deal with my own emotions on my time, for now let's focus on getting her in jail and out of our lives completely.
