Hillary and Obama need to pull out of the CBC Faux news debate
John Edwards deserves enormous credit for continuing to stand up to Faux. The blatant way Faux manipulates the truth is a dangerous threat to our democracy and is a driving force behind our madness in Iraq. Hillary and Obama should follow Edwards' lead on this issue. Do you think they will?

3. If Hillary debates on fox, I suspect Obama will, and vice versa

2. Screw fox, but the actual debate fox cannot alter. Yes, they can try to distort afterwords
but they would do that no matter where the debate was held

I wouldn't mind if fox listeners actually heard about the Democratics plan to insure that EVERYONE has health insurance

I wouldn't mind if fox listners actually heard the truth in the debates about Iraq. They have only heard the lies which got us into Iraq, it is time they heard what really happened

I wouldn't mind if fox listners actually heard about illegal wiretaps, habeas corpus, and other Constitutional issues have been taken away from us. It will affect them also

Perhaps it is time they did hear the truth?

Here is the problem though:

I assume fox is moderating this debate, and the moderator may be able to distort the questions or the debate. Of course, our candidates can throw it right back at fox in front of a nation wide audience. When cris walace was interviewing Bill Clinton, and started to distort the truth, Bill Clinton destroyed wallace. If our candidates our up to the challenge as they should be, they could do the same thing.

bush has a 30% approval rating, that means there WILL be fox viewers who do not like what bush has done. This is an opportunity for us.

I used to think the Democrats should boycott fox, I have changed my mind. Why, because we are right on the issues compared to the republicans. In 2006 the people voted loud and clear that Iraq was the issue. The Democrats have it mostly right on Iraq, the republicans are screwed

I say GO FOR IT, and if fox tries to distort, then throw that distortion RIGHT BACK AT THEM

4. Sadly Those Messages Are Are Wasted Ears
First...Senator Edwards only withdrew from the scheduled Reno/Nevada debate...I haven't heard him say he was going to pass on the CBC debates yet.

The question isn't reaching the Faux noise audience...the excuse used by some Democrats who end up being punching bags and enablers on that propaganda outlet. The question is the network's credibility and the truth that Faux is NOT a legitimate news operation...by holding Democratic debates this gives the network a patina of "objectivity" that will do more harm in the long run to all Democratic candidates than not participating and denying Faux the legitimacy they so desire.

Fortunately, we won in '06 in spite of Faux...and we'll do the same again in '08. Paying attention to this sham of electrons is enabling it to astroturf tons of talking points into the national dialogue that will hamper Democratic candidates. Democratic primaries are for Democrats...and the candidates should go where those voters are...and they're not watching Faux.

5. Either way... HRC's in a little bit of a pickle.
>>The mating ritual of the unlikely allies has been under way for months. Clinton set political tongues to wagging last month by attending a Washington party celebrating the 10th anniversary of Fox News, the cable news channel owned by Murdoch.>>>

She and Rupert have been real close. How do you attend an event 'celebrating ' the very *existence* of something in 2005 then boycott it in 2007?

She's got some splainin' to do.
