R.I.P. Billy Mays...
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529328,00.html

Television pitchman Billy Mays — who built his fame by appearing on commercials and infomercials promoting household products and gadgets — died Sunday.

Mays, 50, was found unresponsive by his wife inside his Tampa, Fla., home at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry to Mays' residence and foul play is not suspected. Authorities said an autopsy should be complete by Monday afternoon.

3. yeah, saw the Breaking News on CNN yesterday afternoon...
I always found him pretty annoying with his one-note constipated scream that was his trademark, but had nothing against the guy himself. It's still sad and pretty weird, too, since he was also 50, like MJ.

6. ? Sounds more like
it was a slow brain swelling Natasha Richardson type injury from getting his head whacked in a very hard plane landing the evening before he died.

8. same opinion here...
At first when they mentioned that plane landing, you think, eh, that's a weird coincidence, but a later report mentioned he'd said a piece of luggage had hit him on the head.

If so, then it shows that, like the Natasha Richardson case, if you get hit on the head get to the hospital to be checked out at once. You may look and feel fine, but you may not be fine.

10. Billy Mays found dead in Fla Home.
Happened after he was hit in the head during a "rough landing" on a US Airways flight? WTF?

sigh, what a wacky week.

My boss told me this AM:

"If I talk to the press today, write me off"

He was making a joke that a couple of folks who passed unexpectedly seem to have been in the news lately when normally they would not have been...i.e. Billy Mays airline/airport interview right before he died.

On edit - I did not clarify that I was teasing about "loose"...I found it funny and thank you for the giggle. :)

14. Billy Mays was more influential than the Beatles...
Oh wait, he was louder than Bob Beetle...

I wish the Mays family all the best and RIP, Billy... but God, any ad he did made be very good at hitting the Mute button.
