I worked as a correctional officer for seven years, then as special ed teacher ed for two - and not only never saw any of the abuse to which you allude, but never heard of it either.

But she routinely sneaked in late at night to sleep with Graner, a hulking 6ft 3in ex-Marine in charge of the night patrol."

So, not only was she helping to torture and humiliate these prisoners, she was actually violating her orders by going into this area of the prison to have an illicit affair.

Her duty was to shuffle paper around. What a despicable human being.
