Why the hell should I feel sorry, says girl soldier who abused Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison
In this deeply disturbing interview, the trailer trash torturer who appalled the world by appearing in shocking 'souvenir' photographs remains utterly unrepentant and says she has 800 MORE torture photos that could rock the White House

Normally, not much happens in Keyser, West Virginia, but today the folks in this quaint little railroad town, nestling in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, are spoilt for choice.

,
,
Following Barack Obama's release of CIA torture files which lend credence to her claim that the ritual humiliation of prisoners was a White House sanctioned tactic during the Bush regime, she even consulted her local senator about petitioning for a Presidential pardon

But 'sorry', it becomes clear, is not in Lynndie England's vocabulary.

,
,
There she grew into a tomboy and loner, never happier than when shooting squirrels in the woods. Until her wedding day, she had never owned a dress.

Teachers recall her for saying almost nothing during her school years, and her defence psychologist diagnosed her with speech-related learning difficulty called selective mutism.

1. Waterboard her ass - maybe she'll give up those photos
At the rate things are going they may be the only ones we ever see.

I'll bet the National Enquirer could pay her a few bucks to put a big screen TV in her trailer. And then she'd probably give them the whole shitaroo.

She wouldn't give a shit - she could sit there and smoke and watch Jerry Springer all fucking day.

9. Last week waterboarding was bad, this week not? I really need
a new calendar that shows what is acceptable, and when.

5. Those who instructed her to abuse prisoners...
Even those at the highest level, are not repentant.

But we direct our ire at some poor woman.

She at least has paid a price for what she has done.

Can the same be said of those who ordered the abuse?

13. Didn't she learn her job in CIVILIAN prisons?
It was said a long time ago that she and the man who were prosecuted for the Abu Gareb abuses were both guards in civilian prisons or jails.

Yes, we treat people in the Abu Gareb style in our prisons. You just don't hear about it.

16. I believe Charles Graner was a prison guard prior to Abu Ghraib (as
a civilian), but not Lyndie England.

I worked as a correctional officer for seven years, then as special ed teacher ed for two - and not only never saw any of the abuse to which you allude, but never heard of it either.

19. "...some poor women..."?
She has not once ounce of contrition, and you want people to express sympathy for her?

Your failure to condemn an unrepentant, sadistic, turd of a human being is just as ire-worthy as the turd herself.

It matters not one iota who else was involved nor at what level. This creature has an opportunity to tell the world she is sorry (at *least* for being stupid) and REFUSES to do so. Five years of being a pariah has taught her nothing of sympathy nor compassion.

Frankly, it is ridiculous expressions of misplaced sympathy such as yours that make me embarrassed by the contemporary left in the United States.

This creature should not be roaming the streets, much less raising a child and hocking a book.

8. Waterboard Rumsfeld. What that girl did was fucked, but that shit came from the TOP down
There's only so much you can do to a kid from Appalachia. In the end, she was a grunt following orders.

21. Just doing her duty?
"All I did was stand in the pictures. Saying sorry is admitting I was guilty and I'm not. I was just doing my duty."

As the article points out: "As a clerical support worker, she had no business in the so-called Hard Site at Abu Ghraib, a block of some 40 cells where the supposedly most dangerous inmates were held. But she routinely sneaked in late at night to sleep with Graner, a hulking 6ft 3in ex-Marine in charge of the night patrol."

So, not only was she helping to torture and humiliate these prisoners, she was actually violating her orders by going into this area of the prison to have an illicit affair.

Her duty was to shuffle paper around. What a despicable human being.
