In an exclusive interview with an IRIB correspondent in Rome, Stefano said evidence shows that Britain was a main supplier of chemical agents among the European countries who did business with Saddam.

"In the early years of the 80's British companies sold Saddam thousands of mustard gas and other chemical germs to use against Iranians forces," said the attorney.

Some of the British plants, including Asai and Euromac were specifically set up to provide the Iraqi regime with the deadly materials.

Stefano also gave the names of some companies involved in deals from Germany, France, Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy and Spain who helped Saddam with its weapons program and funding.

He slammed the countries for their hypocritical policies and disclosed some confidential evidence of Saddam's military intelligence used when gassing Iranian forces and Iraqi Kurds.

Stefano blasted European countries and the United States as the main perpetrators of these crimes under the former dictator.
