Anti-War Groups Don't Pull an Operation Rescue
Operation Rescue's response to the murder of Dr. Tiller will surely go down as one of the most heartless responses to a tragedy.

"George Tiller was a mass-murderer. We grieve for him that he did not have time to properly prepare his soul to face God. I am more concerned that the Obama Administration will use Tiller's killing to intimidate pro-lifers into surrendering our most effective rhetoric and actions. Abortion is still murder. And we still must call abortion by its proper name; murder."

Very classy. I am sure the family is glad to hear how "concerned" you are. Just imagine if a liberal, anti-war group said the same thing about this...

1. This appeal for surrender is sad. The two incidents are not comparable at all.

Military personnel are expected to be ready to sacrifice their lives on duty. A physician is not.

Medical care is a valid and honorable profession. Enticing young people into the war machine is not.

Finally, the reich has many sources and outlets for their propaganda. The left does not.

There will be no long- or short-term negative fallout from the Christists' excuses for Dr. Tiller's murder. That would not be true if any leftish group did the same - it would be screamed by the media for weeks.

2. both are tragedies
Murdering an army recruiter is not at all excusable. You disagree with them, set up an anti recruiting table right next to them. Murder is wrong.

These two tragedies are definitely comparable.

3. How do we know that the alleged shooter was not the brother of a KIA that was
recruited by that recruiting station?

And was suffering from trauma-induced depression?

Or, was himself a victim of the war against Iraq and felt he had to strike out at the office that got him into that travesty?

We cannot make any judgment until facts are in. And we can certainly not group the two events together.

4. Exactly
For all we know, the shooter could be an anti-government right wing extremist. Some of them really hate the military and are afraid that they will be mobilized against them.

7. No. We tend to be non-violent. Only the media and government push the Vegan-as-terrorist
bullshit.

Most are old hippies whose entire purpose is to relieve suffering, not cause it.

Don't believe the propaganda.

Kept opening new tabs in IE and took over all resources.

Not cool.
