Any actual coverage of Dr. Tiller's murder on the morning shows?
I have been flipping between Morning Joe and Fox&Friends, CNN once or twice

I see only a cursory coverage of it. There is a mention of it in the half-hour news headlines round up but almost all the discussion is about GM going bankrupt (which is a huge story) and the missing Air France plane (also a big BREAKING story)

Anyone see much else?

I see that the NYTimes has a statement from Operation Rescue but Randall Terry has slipped out of the first coverage which means he will be absent from almost any coverage of this tragedy. Scott Roeder IS mentioned but the Operation Rescue "President" dismisses any real link between the organization and Roeder.

1. Listening to NPR I thought it would be the top story.
It was nowhere near. It came in after the midway pause for station ID.

2. Sure seems like the fix is in to bury it
It doesn't serve the rightwingers well to talk about it

3. Ignoreland
remember when some sicko started shooting up a church and the security guard shot the perp? That was wall-to-wall all day long.

Now I understand the GM is failing TODAY and there is inexplicable an Air France flight missing TODAY but there is almost no coverage from what I have seen and from threads here. Amazing....no not really they didn't want to deal with it (too inconvenient that terrorism) so "Abortion foes" will not have to actually address it.

6. Well, THAT church was a fundy church... the Knoxville, TN UU church got next to nothing.
Even though it was clear that in the former case, it was NOT politically motivated, whereas in the latter, it WAS.

4. I was shocked at how little coverage there's been
I saw more coverage of Price Harry playing polo and Susan Boyle losing the British talent competition.

5. The Media Is At A Loss On This One
They never would have guessed the first terrorist attack on the United States during Obama's watch would come from radical Christianist Terrorists.

8. MSNBC has been okay this morning
They interviewed a friend of Dr. Tiller's who said that the difference between these American abortion terrorists and the Taliban is "about eight thousand miles".

9. No mention while I had 'Morning Joe" on, unless
Dr. Tiller's murder was discussed while I was in the shower. I was curious as to how Scarborough would respond. I had the show on from 6:30 until 8:30 and there was not one mention - not even when Mika was giving the news. It was all GM and the missing French airplane. Must have been discussed while I was in the shower...

10. it wasn't on Morning Joe
I refuse to watch it. The coverage I've seen has been on MSNBC's regular daily news programming.

right after sports and right before they went back to GM or the missing plane or Susan Boyle or Mika not being able to comprehend that people like Obama

11. Yeah they have. I posted too soon. They did however have an FBI profiler on
saying that the murder was "surely not part of the pro-life movement" "just a fringe player" the anchor mentioned that Roeder had ties to the Freemen. No comment from the FBI profiler
