What happened to "not one dime of new taxes for those making less than $225,000"/year?

2. sigh ..... another stupid Republican idea takes hold in our party
A national sales tax was one of the dumber ideas being touted since the late 80's by the GOP, and Im ashamed that the DINO's have gotten so much power in our supposedly "progressive" party that something like this gets even a second thought.

3. This will piss me off.
It is a profoundly stupid idea. If we need more tax revenue we need a more progressive tax structure. "Conservatives" will bitch and moan. So what else is new?

If they wanted a say they shouldn't have fucked up so badly. Let them spin their heads and spit up pea soup. Do I care? Why no. I don't.

4. Gibbs today: " I saw that article and that's not something that I understand is under discussion."
Ummm, yeah. I think that means it's pretty much a done deal.

Someone somewhere sooner or later will make the argument that it's not an "income tax", so Obama didn't lie or fudge when making the pledge, and ask of you would have preferred McCain as president.

5. Wow, you're a psychic!
I predict that your prediction will come true before the summer is out.

"But there's no hope in Clinton," he continues. "It's just a handful of people that run everything, and that's provable.... I have this feeling that whoever's elected president, like Clinton was, no matter what promises you make on the campaign trail - blah, blah, blah - when you win, you go into this smoky room with the twelve industrialist, capitalist scumfucks that got you in there, and this little screen comes down... and it's a shot of the Kennedy assassination from an angle you've never seen before, which looks suspiciously off the grassy knoll.... And then the screen comes up, the lights come on, and they say to the new president, 'Any questions?'

"Just what my agenda is." - Bill Hicks
