The outrage would be the same no matter who gets the nod for the Supremes.
The details, of course, would differ, but not the flared nostrils and right wing "activist judge" bullshit.

1. The nomination of Sotamayor pre-empts the outrage
Now, the outrage will only serve to further alienate and isolate the GOP.

3. This pick just shows that Obama knows he's got the votes to get his pick through
even tho it may get downright vicious. I'm sure he and Rahm went through all of the ticktock on how this will play out and no matter how many times they went through it they had the votes and FU to the Repukes.

Like someone once said "Elections have consequences."

7. Yes, but it's adding insult to injury that the first Hispanic nominated is not their beloved ...
Alberto Gonzales or Mel Martinez.

I can imagine all the bleating now: Heads are exploding over in right-wing land.

"Oh! Dammit! Obama nominated 'a girl' who probably has that dastardly trait that those commie liberal call 'empathy.'" :spray:

8. The Republican base is
so hard core right wing now that they are probably giving Scalia and Thomas another look. Those two may be considered moderates by the nutbase that remains,
