The painter Vann Nath is depicting his own experiences at the hands of his Khmer Rouge captors.

1. We should have our own torture museum

There's plenty of pictures to fill a full size museum.

2. Good idea...
Then we could include the tapes Sy Hersh referred to in a talk before the ACLU in 2004 about the screaming of boys being sodomized in order to get their parents "to talk."

Then we could require all Americans to tour this museum, kind of like what we did with the German people in making them tour the death camps after WWII. In essence, making them face reality.

3. It should also have a waterboarding room

Where conservative pundits, Repug politicians and their sychopants who claim waterboarding isn't torture are waterboarded to show everyone that it is.

5. It looks like that is a towel over his face ... I thought that is what we did to keep it safe?

Damn them ... they copied our safe methods before we thought of using them!

6. The towel absorbs the water
Edited on Fri May-22-09 05:06 PM by Tempest
Which weights down the face and gives the victim more of the sensation of drowning (simulates the pressure from being under water).

9. C'mon. This is America. We don't compare ourselves to savage nations like
Cambodia. We're better than that. We're number 1!!!

11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Cambodia a rather cruel dictatorship still?
I honestly don't know, so if someone does know tell me.
