I need some help with markings on an old AF plane.
My dad turns 80 this year, and we want to give him a model of one of the planes he flew when he was in the AF. When he and my mother met, he was a T-33 instructor in Texas. We talked to my uncle, who was stationed with my dad back then, and the only thing he can tell us about the marking is that it must indicate "Air Training Command." (He's traveling right now, so he can't send us a picture of one of the planes.)

My brother talked to a company that makes these models, and they told him they need to know specifically what markings we need. Does anyone know enough about this plane to be able to help?

1. A google image search reveals a world of alternatives. I'd go with just silver. nt
Neat looking plane!

2. Here's a source document what your dad's plane looked like.
I'm a lifelong model builder, and even though I've never tried a "super scale" model, this is probably the best source around for accurate information about markings, colors, etc.

You might even refer the model building company to the source. As far as I know, the T-33 was always finished in natural aluminum. The few I've seen have always been pretty shiny.
