11. Yes, particularly those who were here before
they became part of the USA in the west, namely Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California. As a person who has lived in California most of my life I know Californians who are descended from families who were here before the Americans arrived, yet they are called Mexicans. They don't mind the label because they are proud of their Latin heritage but they are treated like strangers in their own land. These back east politicians need to learn whom their constituency is. They can't cheat in elections anymore. We have their number.

8. Howdy!
I can't speak for the whole Hispanic vote, since most of us are still trying to figure out what a Hispanic is, however, we do know we are different from Newtie and his base.

So, let me go back into some recent (well mebbe forty years ago) history when the Canadian English/Scottish were trying to force the French Canadians into speaking English. It didn't work very well.

I think those messed up, we shall speak English only in Amurika, Amurikans have already lost. Fer chrissakes, I wish they would at least learn to spell the common and widely used words.

9. Prof. Gingrich, are Cervantes' writings less beautiful in his native language?
Would I be better off not even trying to learn Spanish, for example, to better understand (or just enjoy) El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha? What sort of "academic" are you, sir?
