*BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE NORTH STAR HEALTH COLLECTIVE – THE FOLKS WHO PROVIDED
MEDICS, TEAR GAS WASHDOWN, CRISIS AND EMERGENCY CARE DURING THE RNC.

*WHAT: a free three-hour post RNC-related event offering healing by body
workers,
self-care & friend-care workshops, referrals, & RNC aftercare information.

Featuring Two Workshops: “How to Support Those Close to Me Who are Still
Dealing with Emotional Fall-out From the RNC” and “Being an Activist &
Getting Arrested
Seems to be Easier than Getting Help for Myself”

WHERE: Walker Community Church, South Minneapolis

WHEN: Sunday, June 7, 2009. 5:30-8:30pm

Open to: people who are still dealing with any emotional, psychological
and/or physical
issues related to the RNC; specifically, for persons who were detained,
arrested or beaten
during the RNC, for medics, activists and organizers who did or still are
working on issues
related to the RNC, and for the people who are close to them.

Sponsored by The North Star Health Collective: the radical folks who brought
you
trained medics, & medical and emotional crisis care during the RNC. We are a
Twin Cities
based collective comprised of trained medics, students, acupuncturists,
herbalists, body
workers, social workers, mental health and medical health workers, as well
as community
organizers; all with diverse experience across a range of social justice
issues and a belief in
free and non-judgmental health care for all.
