5. To answer your question - yes, its just you.
It may suprise you to learn that the Pope, as head of one of the world's largest religions, has a good bit of business to do with a basically religious state. "Joe the Plumber", who I would like to remind people is not and never was a plumber, doesn't.

6. let me explain why your OP is so.... silly.
Like it or not, Pope Benedict is the head of a major religious branch representing million and millions of people. He is traveling to the region that is home to Christianity's holiest sites. He is also a head of state. Joe the not really a plumber is a made up media creation representing no one.

Now you know.

7. The Pope going to the Holy Land like Joe the Plumber going
to Israel? No, I think not.

I'm no Ratzinger fan, but this is what Popes do.

8. The difference is that Joe the Plumber is free to flip-flop randomly.
Joe the Pope is stuck with the same old stoopid.

9. Like him or not, Cardinal Rat is not a "quack." He and JPII were solidly against the Iraq War,

for example.

The Vatican is bigger than Pope Ben, just as the US is bigger than President Bush, and President Obama, actually.
