If my own Mother, who is an 82 yr old Republican, likes what Obama
is doing concerning the new tax laws he wants to implement on offshore multinational corporations
then its a win win..
she is an Opus Dei Catholic, who always votes republican. always.
However, on this one issue, she praised Obama.
He HAS the populist backing from this , believe me. Everyone I spoke with , including the republicans I know, are 100 percent behind him on this.
so, if you dont want your congresscritters to BALK, especially the ones who are whoring for the BANKERS and MULTINATIONAL LOBBYISTS, send them a letter or email and let them KNOW you are behind Obama on this one

1. It's A Definite Win-Win
One thing all sides can agree on is that the rich have been shirking paying their fair share of taxes for a long time. Even when you "debate" the tax rates, throw in the ability of the rich to bury their money into tax havens and you don't get any disagreement. Add this to the growing resentment among many rushpublicans...especially libertarians...about off shoring and out sourcing and there are few who can really argue against this move.

It'll shut up the Blue Dogs as it will generate revenue that goes towards spending on social programs and puts the rushpublicans in a tricky situation as trying to obstruct or even defend these havens shows who the party elders really serve. There are few out there feeling bad for those with six and seven figure incomes trying to shirk taxes.

2. So Cool! And yet the GOP is whining about it because it hurts
corporations even though it helps the treasury.

3. 200 letters were sent to the Obama admin
from the multinational corps condemning the new tax laws..we need to counter it..we need an outpouring of letters and emails not only to Obama at whitehouse.gov, but also to our congresspeople..to let them know we support it...200 letters need to be BURIED by millions of letters supporting it...
