Honestly - not just the Swiftboat BS, but the mocking of his heroism and injuries. I mean what kind of America-hater does THAT???

13. Well, I recall '04 being more significant for Kerry.
Being that it was the Presidential election year. Is that what you meant?

5. Kerry's big mistake was in not fighting back.
Obama did a much better job during his campaign. Politics is not for the faint of heart.

21. you're wrong about that - Kerry's fight back wasn't broadcast. Would Obama have been the nominee if

not ONE NEWS NETWORK would air his speech on race and then continued to air clips from Rev Wright speeches? Doubt it.

In fact, no nominee in modern history PERSONALLY fought back harder than Kerry did, something he pretty much had to do entirely on his own as most bigname Democrats were busy on air supporting and defending Bush from the very attacks Kerry was making against him at the time.

Within weeks of Swifts starting their ads, Kerry used a scheduled speech to Firefighters Convention on Aug 19 2004 to attack the Swifts as liars and to challenge Bush to stop hiding behins them and come out openly and debate their services during Vietnam. No network would air the speech and few even reported that it occurred.

Imagine if that happened to Obama.

Go to Research Forum here at DU and you'd be shocked at how MUCH heavy-hitting response by Kerry campaign was muted and ignored by corporate newsmedia.

6. Yes I am Teammate
John Kerry is a patriotic American who actually did something for his country, bush joined a champagne unit at the behest of his congressman father to avoid being shot at then deserted to avoid a drug test. And please republicans tell me who has values.

Moderators please forgive me but the Lady pictured above is a fucking CONSERVATIVE VALUED CUNT.

7. If I had had any doubts that
a significant number of conservatives are lacking a soul their actions during the '04 election would have put that to rest - that and the treatment of Max Cleland. I'm not what I consider particularly patriotic - I've never ascribed to the "my country uber alles" meme but conservatives claim to be ultra patriotic yet engaged in behaviors which were unbelievably unpatriotic. Soul-less hypocritical vicious mean arrogant greedy scum.

Think of it this way, and I had the pleasure of meeting Senator Kerry when
he campaigned in West Palm Beach. I greatly admired him then as I do now. After saying that, John Kerry more or less introduced Barack Obama to the nation at his convention. It was obvious to me that Kerry really admired this young man, I loved his looks..i.e. let's pay attention to him. I will always thank John Kerry and Ted Kennedy for getting behind Obama and pushing him forward to the nation. We all have our jobs to do, sometimes we just don't know what it is.

15. It's possible to be steaming mad and still work on other things.
In fact, being that angry can help motivate you to work for more change.

Don't dismiss anyone else's feelings.
