All the issues that attracted me to the Republican party were being championed by the Democrats and the Republicans became opposed to them. I didn't change. The Republican party did.

6. I think it's strange that we lauded Specter as a Republican coming out against Bush.

Now that he's become a democrat. Many here either don't like him or don't trust him. I guess it just goes to show how much of a fair weather friend we can be.

We don't need any more Dems in name only. He's still a Repuke and will vote as a Repuke. His switching parties is only so he has a chance in hell of keeping his seat and very likely keeps a REAL Dem out of it.
