If you can, turn on Thom Hartmann.
He's on a break now, but was revealing some astonishing things about Nixon negotiating with the South Vietnamese in 1968 to throw the election to him. Hartmann has been using some of the LBJ tapes, in a conversation with Sen. Everett Dirksen (R-Ill). Dirksen agrees with LBJ that Nixon's contacting a foreign power in the middle of a war, and meddling for political gain, is "treason."

1. As I recall it, Nixon claimed to have a secret plan
to end the war in Vietnam. I was not quite old enough to vote, and I would definitely not have voted for him. I was quite certain he was lying. His secret plan turned out to be keep us there so he could promise to end the war when he ran again in 1972.
