| Is Morning Joe deliberately avoiding having liberal guests on the show? |
|
I am beginning to think that they can't stand up to progressive thinking on the torture issue. It's been days now and I haven't seen many or any of the Dem standbys they have had in the past. Maybe this is just temporary but I am sensing a deep panic on their part. Joe in particular is going into old, old stuff that has been proven untrue, i.e., the Clinton turning down the offer on handing over Bin Ladin. They also probably have seen and heard so much from Lawrence O'Donnell they are scared to death of having him come on the show and beat their brains out.
Guess we'll see next week, won't we?

I can't face that crap so early in the morning....Are you watching just to keep an eye on the creeps... ...so people like me with weak stomachs don't have to? If so, thank you. You're a lot tougher than I am.

| 5. They USED to have good guests on the show, some really interesting people. |
|
Then, when the crap started I'd turn off the set or flip over to the inanity of GMA.
Now it seems they talk to Pat Buchanan and some other right wing pundits, like they did today, and just go on and on.
Personally, I think Joe is so angry with Keith and RAchel and even Chris Matthews, that he avoids ANY liberal or even moderate on the show.

| 8. But they used to, that's "what" I was getting at. If they NEVER had liberalson the show |
|
I could understand it. But they used to have a mix. Now they don't or at least they haven't for the last few days. As I said, that might change.
Even the not so liberal Dems and pundits, like Jonathan Capehart and Harold Ford, Jr., are MIA. I also miss Eugene Robinson...

|
From 6 to 7 when I watch they generally just have the pundits and regular commentators (Todd, Robinson, Buchanan, Capehart).
Can't really speak for what happens from 7 to 9 as I'm usually out of the house by then.

Rachel has said it's difficult to sign conservatives for her show, and she's got a gentler reputation than Keith.

But she does get some conservatives on her show. I giggle when I think about what she did to David Frum.

|
and yes, they do have him on. Though when I turned it on today, they were talking about him and making fun of him (after he wasn't there anymore, of course) for saying that there should be torture prosecutions. Usually Eugene is too nice to forefully fight off a lot of their BS though, like Lawrence does.
