Thom Hartman said it best today - We can't forget the mistakes made after Watergate and Iran/Contra
Thom made the point today that Cheney et al were all part of Ford's administration when Nixon was pardoned. They also saw how BushI/Ollie North were never held accountable for Iran/Contra by Clinton. The Bushies have seen in recent history that like Nixon said "If the President does it, it's not illegal".

These people ruined our country and smeared our reputation worldwide. It will take decades to right the wrongs of the Bush administration. We can not let future administrations (and this one) think that treason, torture and political extortion will be tolerated.

Count me as one who wants to see Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Gonzalez on trial for war crimes.

4. The only impeachable crime
is dropping your pants in the White House while being a Democrat.

6. Seems so doesn't it?
Could this also be why Democrats are seen as weak? They had nothing on Clinton but still managed to get him impeached for a blowjob. This is a bit more serious than a sexual indiscretion.

Sup brother... starting to feel like justice is coming around, late, but it's coming. I haven't felt this hopeful in a long time...

If you didn't see it C&L has Jon Stewart from last night. It's amazing to see the heads on Faux foaming at the mouth trying to defend torture. The absurdity... Heading out tomorrow to a big festival in Ca. one day show then back for a few more weeks. We need to hook up before I start touring again... Lunch or something, I'll call you when I get back.

edit: oh and Hartmann's been on a roll lately. Wish they had given him a show instead of Big Ed.

7. All they had against Clinton was Monica and Linda and they impeached his ass
These torture memos are horrendous. After releasing them I don't see how Obama can not prosecute. I'm waiting to see what happens next.

It'd be good to see you again bro. Gimme a call.

8. this is why the exposure of and accountability for bush, inc crimes
...is the most serious issue facing the united states, bar none. i give no one, including obama, any leeway on this point. it is issue #1 for all time until it is accomplished. EVERYTHING else pales in comparison because the system must be fixed before any of the symptoms can be fixed/avoided next time.

9. I totally agree..
It's time for Dems to show some spine and prosecute all the way to the top. This "let bygones be bygones" philosophy just makes us look weak. Remember that the Repugs spent 6 years trying to prove that Clinton got a blowjob. This is much more important.
