The hijacker

Heavy rumors abound on local radio that the 'connected young man' does not have mental problems and that the hijacking was diversion for a big drug load coming in.

1. What kind of airport security does Jamaica have for this to have
happened in the first place? Any thoughts on whether airport personnel might be complicit?

3. No one gets on that tarmac without the required security checks plus
a dog tag and one of those translucent jackets.
If you know the length of the walkway at Sangster's Airport, you know something is wrong with this story. So he passed one security guard at the entrance - how did he pass so many? Why wasn't he stopped? Something's very wrong here.

21. www.flightaware.com is one for the USA but nobody tracks flights to Jamaica.
I used to fly to a 'location' near Sav La Mar that nobody more than a mile or 2 away ever knew about.

If you have Jump TV on line, you can watch all the details on CVM on the hour. I'm watching on TVJ. I can't believe a 21 year old could create such havoc.
Apparently he always wanted to fly. He's a middle class preppie who was shuffled around after his parents divorced. He broke up with his girlfriend recently and friends say he was behaving strangely for about a week.

Never have I seen such panic from officials - poor poor tourism they cry. Data I received yesterday from an expert shows that tourism contributes 8% of GDP. Ah well. At least the inner city poor won't be blamed this time around.

12. Seriously...unless you know someone from Guyana or French Guyana or are a Jim Jones Expert...
How often do you really need to know the national adjective for those two countries?

However, it sounded like a one runway shop with dusters flying if someone just goes past security like that. Something is wrong if he got through all the levels that were there.
That's some diversion. Couldn't he think of one that wouldn't land him behind bars for a long time? Maybe he is too connected and won't. I don't know the Jamacain courts.

Someone will have to explain how he got that far with a gun. It makes no sense.
