Our government tortured people without...
...due process, if they were guilty or not, and the "gun nuts" cheer? So these goofballs buying guns at record rates trust the government when it is politically "convenient" and fear the government on the other hand. When will they make up their fucking minds?

1. You missed the point a bit. There is not supposed to be state sponsored torture. Due process or
not. Even the death penalty is to be as non-tortuous as possible. Even so, I do understand your disbelief with the freepers. Wait till one of our troops is given the same treatment.

My point was a not written very well. That isn't what I meant. You are correct. Torture is wrong no matter what.

4. an empty drum sounds the loudest....
these people get all the print, because of their exceptionalism, and because they are the only base the right has left. I fear violence, but if if were just from these whacko's I wouldn't fear at all.

They are paranoid and therefore off balance. Easy targets (in the figurative sense of course).

8. I suffer from Bush Syndrome..
I'm always thinking about what the government could do provided the right cover. After all a little fake opposition works wonders for the CIA.

6. Fair point. We must always, always hold power accountable - whether it's comfortable/convenient
or not. It's a good lesson to learn.
