1. I heard something about the family refusing an interview with Fox.

I read somewhere that they told Fox that they'd get the first interview after the rescue. Then they changed their minds. Phillips has college aged kids, so it wouldn't surprise me if someone said "hell no" to Fox. It also wouldn't surprise me if Phillips family saw Fox's coverage and thought they put Phillips into further danger.

and they did tell the Fox reporter that after it was all over they'd talk to them- and other media, but then after the Captain was rescued they decided not to speak to media.
