National Tornado Experiment to Begin in May
http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2009/20090406_tornado.html
"A collaborative nationwide project exploring the origins, structure and evolution of tornadoes will occur from May 10 through June 13 in the central United States."

We use NOAA'S radar all the time to watch for bad weather.
Needed in North Texas!!! Especially on nights like tonight!

Between this and the border collie hiding under the desk, we know when a storm is coming.
One of my favorite websites...*gasp*....a government website? with *gasp* science and t-t-t-technology!

Thank you NOAA!
(they must be a bunch of commie loving science-ey people :sarcasm:)

1. Thanks for the link.
One of my favorite subjects. I hope this study yields some results, there's still such a long way to go in tornado prediction.

2. yes
there needs to be much more info on how weather works.
there is so much we don't know.

And for those of us that live in volatile weather areas, we are glad to hear that they are doing this research.

3. well
are you sure that there are tornadoes? Applying Bush logic, there may not be enough evidence to support the existence of said twisters!

:sarcasm:
