Saw something kind of disturbing today. I was coming home from the hardware

store and went down a road beside the parking lot of a now defunct k-mart. Gathered in the parking lot were several pick-up trucks (I'd say 6-8) all had LARGE confederate flags sticking out of the rear corner of the bed of the truck. By large I mean probably about 4'x6', the size usually used on flag poles.There were several people gathered around talking. I also remembered when I was going to the store going the other way I remembered seeing a truck parked there. I remember because there is no business there now and the lot is usually empty. Anyway, when I saw the truck the first time there was a man and a woman sitting in it and the woman had her hands covering her face, like she was crying or something. I don't know what was happening there, but it sure has me wondering.:shrug:

My first thought, when you said there was a woman crying, was that it was a spot where someone had died tragically.

Maybe it was a place where a friend died, and they were there, commemorating.

A scene like that can conjure up all sorts of scary ideas, but I get the sense - the crying woman - that it was just friends holding on to something that was gone forever.

(I write novels professionally, though, so I see scenarios in everything ...........)

7. Not to my knowledge. It was until just recently (less than a year) K-mart parking lot, out

at the far end by the road, where no one ever parks.It's a very low speed area, and highly visible.

Things could have happened in a KMart parking lot - a goodbye said, an accident occurred, a chance lost.

I just don't think what you saw was in any way malignant or dangerous. It seemed like a sad gathering - the woman crying.
